Photo: -wuppertaler / Wikimedia Commons [Victoria Police](https://giftcard.news/organization/victoria-police/) have disclosed ten reports of a fake-doctor scam targeting Mandarin-speaking residents, with callers directing victims to purchase gift cards and send back the redemption codes. ## Two cases show how card codes transferred the value The statement, published on October 1 in Victoria, says reports began arriving in early September. Police describe two recent cases involving losses of AUD50,000 and AUD40,000; those figures are individual reported losses, rather than a total for the ten reports.
