Alicante has approved the operating rules and autumn dates for its 2026 Bono Comercio scheme, backed by a EUR1,989,076 provincial grant and separate consumer allocations.

Alicante’s municipal government has approved the rules and autumn timetable for its 2026 Bono Comercio programme, which lets eligible residents buy shopping vouchers for half their face value. The 16 October decision also covers a management agreement with the Alicante Chamber of Commerce ([Cámara de Comercio de Alicante](https://giftcard.news/organization/camara-de-comercio-de-alicante/)). The decision fixes the operating calendar for funding already announced earlier in the year. In July, the city and local trader representatives had envisaged sales from mid-September. That announcement also assigned delivery to the Chamber’s technology platform, with the municipality covering management costs. [\[S03\]](#article-source-3)

## How the subsidy is divided before vouchers are sold

The council has divided that subsidy into senior, youth and general allocations, with unused amounts from the first two available to move to the general tranche. At the stated 50% subsidy, the grant could support EUR3,978,152 in voucher face value if fully taken up. That figure is twice the grant, combining public support and consumers’ matching payments. The announced purchase windows are 26–30 October for assisted, in-person senior sales, 28–30 October for online youth sales, and 2–6 November for online general sales. The city’s earlier plan specified EUR20, EUR50, EUR100 and EUR200 denominations, with each resident limited to EUR400 in face value. The approved announcement says each voucher is tied to the purchaser’s identity and must be used in one purchase rather than split across transactions. The council attributes the programme’s purpose to support for households and local shops. Full current municipal legal terms and a working live purchase portal were not available for independent review.
