# BHN and Visa announce World Cup eGift card for Australia

BHN’s Australian World Cup eGift card combines tournament branding with a prepaid Visa balance, separating sponsor, issuer and programme-manager roles.

[Blackhawk Network](https://giftcard.news/company/blackhawk-network/) and [Visa](https://giftcard.news/company/visa/) announced a limited-edition digital Activ Visa Gift Card for Australian World Cup gifting on June 15, 2026\. The release described two designs, distribution through Giftz.com.au and participating digital distributors, and availability from May 12 to July 19\. That sales window has ended; it was not stated to be the expiry date of existing balances.[ \[1\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/bhn-visa-world-cup-egift-australia-june-2026/#article-source-1)

## Tournament branding sits on a bounded prepaid balance

BHN specified an AUD 5 to AUD 1,000 load range. The chart shows its minimum and maximum permitted loads, rather than inventing intermediate denomination options or implying that these were the amounts customers actually bought. The release promoted the card for personal gifts and employee, customer and partner incentives.[ \[1\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/bhn-visa-world-cup-egift-australia-june-2026/#article-source-1)

These are two contractual product-range endpoints, not two fixed denominations, average loads, sales or customer observations. The advertised May 12 to July 19, 2026 sales period has ended and is separate from the expiry of an issued card.

| Category | Permitted load boundary |

| Maximum load | 1,000 AUD |

The Activ terms reviewed on October 19, 2026 are labelled last updated December 11, 2025\. They identify [Heritage and People’s Choice Limited](https://giftcard.news/company/heritage-bank/), trading as Heritage Bank, as issuer and Blackhawk Network Australia as programme manager. Visa provides the payment network; the agreement does not make it the issuer.[ \[2\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/bhn-visa-world-cup-egift-australia-june-2026/#article-source-2)

The terms describe a non-reloadable card and require digital-card registration to access the payment details. A compatible mobile wallet is needed for physical-store use. They exclude cash withdrawals, purchases of other gift cards and specified merchant categories, and prohibit recurring or instalment payments. Acceptance also depends on the merchant, so the announcement’s broad Visa-acceptance language is subject to these conditions.[ \[2\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/bhn-visa-world-cup-egift-australia-june-2026/#article-source-2)

The terms impose a 3.5% fee when a transaction is in a foreign currency or is processed or billed outside Australia, including some AUD transactions. That charge can affect the remaining spendable balance; it is separate from the funding limits and does not disclose the campaign’s licensing or distribution economics.[ \[2\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/bhn-visa-world-cup-egift-australia-june-2026/#article-source-2)

Visa’s current sponsorship page separately confirms its worldwide [FIFA](https://giftcard.news/organization/fifa/) relationship. The Australian release applies that association to a prepaid gift product, but provides no sales, redemption or corporate-incentive performance results. A recognised event may supply the occasion for a gift without establishing the commercial result of the campaign.[ \[1\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/bhn-visa-world-cup-egift-australia-june-2026/#article-source-1)[ \[3\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/bhn-visa-world-cup-egift-australia-june-2026/#article-source-3)
