The event was scheduled for October 1–3, 2018. Marquez's October 3 panel concerned the international expansion of gift card programs, with participants from [Disney](https://giftcard.news/company/disney/) and the UK's Gift Card and Voucher Association. The broader agenda included digital development, design, manufacturing and consumer incentives. Other companies named among the forum's speakers included [Macy's](https://giftcard.news/company/macy-s/), [Nike](https://giftcard.news/company/nike/) and [Starbucks](https://giftcard.news/company/starbucks/). The RGCA represented the closed-loop gift card industry and used the event for education and discussion among its members. Buyatab's contribution came from its merchant gift card ecommerce business. It supported online purchasing and delivery by email or text and described clients across the United States, Canada and Europe. The release set out a forthcoming conference appearance.
