[Gift Cards](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/) # Cryptorefills brings gift-card shopping into Startale App The July 30 integration puts Cryptorefills gift cards inside Startale App. Later platform data explain the payment context, without measuring sales through the new channel. It does not depict a verified customer transaction. Photo: Cryptorefills / Startale [Cryptorefills](https://giftcard.news/company/cryptorefills/) became available inside [Startale](https://giftcard.news/company/startale/) App on July 30, 2026, adding a wallet-based distribution route for its gift-card catalogue. Soneium’s official announcement named Cryptorefills among the Mini Apps going live that day. The provider’s later shopping guide explains the connection, but its publication and revision dates do not date the launch. [\[S1\]](#article-source-1) [\[S2\]](#article-source-2) According to Cryptorefills, the Mini App presents its existing catalogue and lets customers pay directly from their Startale wallet. A gift-card purchase produces a code to redeem with the chosen brand. This connects the wallet to retail value without requiring the underlying retailer to accept cryptocurrency at its own checkout. [\[S2\]](#article-source-2) The distinction is commercially important: the integration provides another storefront for existing products. It does not establish new merchant acceptance or show whether orders are additional sales rather than purchases shifted from Cryptorefills’ website. The announcement supplies no Startale-specific order count, revenue or conversion rate. [\[S1\]](#article-source-1) [\[S2\]](#article-source-2) Later research from Cryptorefills provides context for that wallet-commerce model. A company-authored working paper published in September reports that stablecoins funded 69% of completed orders in July 2026 after excluding WLD transactions. The figure concerns order count across the wider platform, including gift cards, mobile top-ups, eSIMs and travel. [\[S3\]](#article-source-3) The data behind the story ### Cryptorefills payment mix in July 2026 Later platform-wide context from Cryptorefills Labs Working Paper No.1, published September 2026. Share of completed non-WLD orders % Tap or hover for details. All values are also available in the data table. Source Cryptorefills Labs, September 2026 working paper, section 4.5 and Figure 1 Order count, not purchase value. Mixed gift-card, mobile and travel catalogue; no Startale-only or gift-card-only split. WLD-settled World App orders are excluded. Other coins is 100 minus the reported rounded 69%, not a separately published observation. The paper does not measure the integration’s impact. Show data tableHide data table Scroll left or right to see all columns __Cryptorefills payment mix in July 2026 (%)__ | Category | Share of completed non-WLD orders | | ----------- | --------------------------------- | | Stablecoins | 69% | | Other coins | 31% | WLD purchases through World App were excluded because the subsidised flow had different microtransaction economics. The paper says that subsidised flow would otherwise dominate order counts. The other-coins share shown here is the complement of the paper’s rounded stablecoin percentage. Absolute order counts were not disclosed. Changing payment options can also affect the mix, so these figures neither identify the coins supported by Startale checkout nor demonstrate demand created by the integration. [\[S3\]](#article-source-3) Current terms clarify the separate responsibilities around a purchase. Startale’s October 2 terms describe its wallet as self-custodial, while Cryptorefills’ October 21 terms leave product availability and redemption restrictions with the relevant issuer. These are current explanations, not reconstructed July launch conditions. A successful wallet payment still needs to deliver a gift card usable for the intended country and merchant. [\[S4\]](#article-source-4) [\[S5\]](#article-source-5) The verified development is a new point of access to the existing gift-card catalogue. Its commercial value for the distributor and wallet operator will depend on completed purchases and repeat use, outcomes the available launch evidence does not quantify.
