# Dress Smart moves two New Zealand gift-card programmes to Tranxactor

The Auckland and Christchurch outlet centres are changing providers, with Tranxactor handling retailer settlement and an exchange offer for existing cards.

[Dress Smart](https://giftcard.news/company/dress-smart/)'s Auckland and Christchurch outlet centres have moved their gift-card programmes to [Tranxactor](https://giftcard.news/company/tranxactor/), bringing processing and payments to participating retailers under a new provider. Tranxactor dated its announcement August 5, 2026 in its official news listing. [\[S1\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/dress-smart-auckland-christchurch-tranxactor-gift-cards/#article-source-1) [\[S2\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/dress-smart-auckland-christchurch-tranxactor-gift-cards/#article-source-2)

The change is a migration of existing programmes. The supplier does not name the previous provider or disclose the contract value, but confirms responsibility for card technology, programme operations, reporting and settlement across multiple retail tenants. [\[S1\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/dress-smart-auckland-christchurch-tranxactor-gift-cards/#article-source-1)

## Auckland’s published loading range and the migration route

Auckland’s centre page links buyers to a specific Give a Gift Card product, whose full published terms list a minimum load of NZD20 and a maximum of NZD999\. The listing describes a physical card sent by signature-required courier. These current purchase boundaries make the new programme’s consumer offer concrete; they do not measure issued value or prescribe how an old balance is exchanged. [\[S3\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/dress-smart-auckland-christchurch-tranxactor-gift-cards/#article-source-3) [\[S5\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/dress-smart-auckland-christchurch-tranxactor-gift-cards/#article-source-5)

No purchase or cart action was performed; direct browser access to the shop was blocked, while its full original product text was available through web extraction.

The migration announcement says old Dress Smart cards can be exchanged for replacements without charge and advertised a free Coffee Club coffee for completing the swap. Auckland’s current centre page still directs old-card holders to centre management, but does not itself renew the coffee offer or state an exchange deadline. The previous provider and contract value remain undisclosed. [\[S1\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/dress-smart-auckland-christchurch-tranxactor-gift-cards/#article-source-1) [\[S3\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/dress-smart-auckland-christchurch-tranxactor-gift-cards/#article-source-3)

Behind the card, Tranxactor’s stated responsibilities include programme technology and management, reporting, administration, ongoing support and settlement among participating retail tenants. It also developed the card and carrier designs with Dress Smart. Those responsibilities explain why the change affects merchant operations as well as customer presentation; no measured processing-cost saving or service improvement is supplied. [\[S1\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/dress-smart-auckland-christchurch-tranxactor-gift-cards/#article-source-1)

Auckland’s centre terms limit use to participating Auckland shops and explicitly exclude Puma, Zeta Greek Kitchen and Dubai Aroma & Taste Cafe. They prohibit cash redemption and replacement of lost or stolen cards. The product listing likewise limits use to participating Auckland stores. Neither page promises universal acceptance across every outlet or across both Dress Smart centres. [\[S3\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/dress-smart-auckland-christchurch-tranxactor-gift-cards/#article-source-3) [\[S5\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/dress-smart-auckland-christchurch-tranxactor-gift-cards/#article-source-5)

The two Auckland pages describe the expiry starting point differently: the centre terms say36 months after the last top-up, while the linked product says36 months from purchase. Those statements are reported separately rather than treated as proof that every purchase restarts the clock. Christchurch’s page points to its own product listing; its complete product terms were not accessible in this review, so Auckland’s loading or expiry rules are not extended to Christchurch. [\[S3\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/dress-smart-auckland-christchurch-tranxactor-gift-cards/#article-source-3) [\[S4\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/dress-smart-auckland-christchurch-tranxactor-gift-cards/#article-source-4) [\[S5\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/dress-smart-auckland-christchurch-tranxactor-gift-cards/#article-source-5)

A shopping-centre gift card connects a prepaid customer balance with purchases at different participating retailers. The migration therefore depends on both a clear exchange route for existing value and correct allocation and settlement of new spending. The reviewed sources do not report migration volumes, outstanding liabilities, merchant settlement totals or post-change redemption results.
