# Factor4 lists its Simphony gift card application on Oracle Cloud Marketplace

Factor4’s Oracle Marketplace listing gives its existing Simphony integration a new distribution route, with merchant adoption and commercial terms undisclosed.

[Factor4](https://giftcard.news/company/factor4/) announced on April 8, 2026 that its gift card application was available through [Oracle](https://giftcard.news/company/oracle/) Cloud Marketplace for use with Simphony POS. The listing gives the specialist provider another route to hospitality operators already using Oracle’s transaction system. [\[S01\]](#article-source-1)

## A distribution milestone, not a new integration

The underlying connection was announced in August 2025\. That earlier release described physical and digital gift card sales, redemption and reporting inside Simphony, without additional terminals. April’s development is marketplace availability for that existing service. [\[S02\]](#article-source-2)

Factor4 supplies gift card and loyalty technology to merchants and describes its customer base as thousands of North American businesses. In the marketplace announcement, chief executive [Dan Battista](https://giftcard.news/person/dan-battista/) identified the attraction as bringing gift card work into the POS rather than requiring staff to operate a separate system. Oracle has a broader role: Simphony connects restaurant ordering, payments, kitchen operations, inventory and reporting. Its product documentation describes an open API framework with more than 200 integration partners. Gift cards are therefore one specialist function within a wider operating system. ## A shorter route from discovery to deployment

The commercial logic is that Factor4 can meet potential customers where they already evaluate compatible software. A restaurant does not have to discover an unrelated supplier and then establish whether it can connect to the POS. Marketplace presence can reduce that initial search burden, although it does not establish that a purchase or deployment will follow.

For Oracle, a wider range of complementary applications can make its POS useful to operators with different requirements. That gives customers more reasons to retain the underlying platform while choosing specialist services around it. These are incentives created by the distribution model; neither company disclosed a revenue-sharing agreement or sales generated by this listing.

Embedding gift card functions also addresses an operational cost that is easy to overlook. If a cashier must switch systems during a sale, the merchant carries the staff time and the risk of inconsistent records. Keeping the transaction in the POS offers a route to reducing those handoffs. Actual savings depend on the previous workflow, transaction volume and implementation quality.

## Compatibility is only part of the purchasing decision

Oracle’s licensing documentation separately requires a licence for each connected Simphony POS client under the editions described. Marketplace availability should consequently not be read as a statement that the merchant’s overall software stack is free. The release also gives no named deployment, active merchant count or measured change in sales. For the industry, the news is a clearer distribution path for an established integration. Its commercial impact will depend on conversion from marketplace interest to live programmes and on the service merchants receive after installation.
