In an April 2025 guide, the company describes a process in which contributors fund one gift and the graduate chooses how to spend it across participating retailers. An organizer creates a collection page, chooses a delivery date and shares its link with other contributors. When the collection closes, the graduate receives the pooled gift alongside messages from those who took part. The organizer can contribute but does not have to.
