[GiftCrowd](https://giftcard.news/company/giftcrowd/) set out a group-gifting workflow for parent organisations collecting teacher appreciation gifts, in guidance published on March 3, 2025\. It combined voluntary contributions, payment tracking and delivery with a choice of gift card brands for recipients.

The guide compared digital payment methods with cash collection. It noted that payment apps still leave an organiser responsible for tracking receipts and distributing money, while cash requires a named person to keep records and report progress.

Contribution privacy was a separate concern. GiftCrowd said families using its service could choose their own amount without showing it to other families. Teachers see the contributing families’ names, and organisers can decide whether individual amounts are also visible to
