[Haninge kommun](https://giftcard.news/organization/haninge-kommun/) is seeking digital gift cards for employees' Christmas gifts through a procurement carrying an estimated value of SEK3.9 million excluding VAT. The Swedish municipality's notice was published on September 22.

The requirement is specifically for electronic gift cards for municipal staff, rather than a general employee-benefits platform. Haninge is using an accelerated open procedure, explaining that Christmas gifts must be ready sufficiently ahead of the holiday.

The notice sets the bid deadline at October 21, 21:59:59 UTC. Its proposed contract starts on November 9, 2026 and runs through December 31, 2027, with one possible twelve-month extension. These are procurement terms, rather than confirmation that a supplier has been appointed.
