[Jeumont Red Cross](https://giftcard.news/organization/jeumont-red-cross/) distributed EUR4,000 in [Petitscommerces](https://giftcard.news/company/petitscommerces/) gift cards alongside its regular food assistance on October 7, according to original local reporting published October 13\. The distribution took place at the Maison de la Solidarité in Jeumont. The branch described the cards as additional purchasing support for people receiving assistance. The report does not identify a new city grant or a commercial contract behind the distribution.

## Local spending value supplements food parcels

Petitscommerces’ public Jeumont product page describes a card restricted to registered local merchants, with scanning of a QR code or card code and use over several purchases.
