The technology provider released the figure on November 30, 2023, as it described the retailer’s expansion into digital business sales. According to Runa, M&S had faced difficulties taking and fulfilling gift card orders from corporate customers at scale. Connecting the retailer’s systems to Runa’s platform changed that ordering process and opened access to buyers in Runa’s customer network. William Wilford, M&S’s B2B customer success manager, said the retailer had continued to grow its gift card sales and reach new customers after joining the platform. He also pointed to easier ordering for business buyers. Runa said its foreign-exchange features supported purchases by customers funding orders in different currencies. At the time, the company described a network covering 40 countries and 25 currencies. The reported revenue increase concerns gift cards, not overall M&S sales. The release did not provide an absolute revenue total or a detailed comparison period beyond the year-on-year description.
