# Mercari points join Giftee business and municipal reward catalogues

Merpay adds Mercari points to standalone Giftee gifts, EraberuPay and giftee Box, extending the reward options available to corporate and municipal programmes.

[Merpay](https://giftcard.news/company/merpay/) added [Mercari](https://giftcard.news/company/mercari/) points to [Giftee](https://giftcard.news/company/giftee/)'s corporate and municipal digital-gift service on September 1\. Organisations can now distribute the points as a standalone giftee for Business gift or offer them among the choices in EraberuPay and giftee Box. [\[S01\]](#article-source-1)

## A new reward option in an established distribution channel

The change connects campaign and resident-benefit budgets with an additional spending destination. EraberuPay lets recipients exchange gift points for participating mobile-payment service points; giftee Box offers a wider choice of gifts. Mercari points join both catalogues, while the standalone route lets an organisation select the reward in advance. [\[S01\]](#article-source-1)

After receipt, the points are reflected in a Mercari account. They are free promotional points, which Mercari values at JPY1 each for spending on its marketplace and at Merpay merchants, and for settling eligible Merpay credit payments. Mercari distinguishes these from points bought using sales proceeds. [\[S01\]](#article-source-1) [\[S02\]](#article-source-2)

Giftee already operated a substantial distribution channel before this addition. Its issuer disclosures put cumulative giftee for Business projects above 61,000 in March 2025, above 81,000 in March 2026 and above 86,000 by June 30\. The figures cover gifting projects across corporate campaigns, employee and business relationships, and municipal programmes. They include physical goods, experiences and branded merchandise alongside digital gifts. Giftee does not disclose a detailed project-counting method in these releases, and the thresholds cannot establish an exact increase or the number of customer organisations. No issuance or redemption result for the Mercari integration was disclosed. The launch also did not specify Giftee-specific denominations or point-validity terms. Mercari's general help page says promotional-point expiry varies by campaign; the rules for purchased points therefore cannot be applied to this reward automatically.
