Photo: Tranxactor / Mihi's Place [Tranxactor](https://giftcard.news/company/tranxactor/) has announced a gift-card programme for [Mihi's Place](https://giftcard.news/company/mihi-s-place/), a New Plymouth business offering Rongoā Māori treatments and workshops. The deployment was listed on the technology provider's official site on July 14, 2026. [\[S1\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/mihis-place-tranxactor-gift-card-programme/#article-source-1) [\[S2\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/mihis-place-tranxactor-gift-card-programme/#article-source-2) The announcement identifies Mihi's Place as a Tranxactor client and describes cards that customers can buy to give another person access to the clinic's services. It is a provider-specific programme announcement, rather than evidence that the business had never sold gift vouchers before. [\[S1\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/mihis-place-tranxactor-gift-card-programme/#article-source-1) ## Five gift-card amounts connect prepaid value with later service choice A gift card lets the purchaser contribute to a future experience while leaving the recipient to arrange the service. For a local operator, that creates a route through which existing customers can introduce someone else to the business without choosing an appointment on their behalf. [\[S1\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/mihis-place-tranxactor-gift-card-programme/#article-source-1) [\[S4\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/mihis-place-tranxactor-gift-card-programme/#article-source-4) The clinic's current website lists a gift-card product priced from NZD 25 to NZD 200\. It also promotes corporate packages for employee rewards, sales incentives and client gifts. These establish current sales options and business context; they do not date the Tranxactor deployment or disclose how many cards have sold. [\[S3\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/mihis-place-tranxactor-gift-card-programme/#article-source-3) [\[S4\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/mihis-place-tranxactor-gift-card-programme/#article-source-4) [\[S5\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/mihis-place-tranxactor-gift-card-programme/#article-source-5) The data behind the story ### Mihi’s Place lists five fixed gift-card values Current merchant product selector read on October 19, 2026. Its description explicitly allows spending in both the shop and treatments, leaving the eventual purchase to the recipient. It does not publish a schedule of merchant processing charges or measured redemption activity. [\[S4\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/mihis-place-tranxactor-gift-card-programme/#article-source-4) Mihi's Place describes its offering around Māori treatments, workshops and related products. [\[S3\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/mihis-place-tranxactor-gift-card-programme/#article-source-3) Tranxactor supplies retailers and businesses with multiple locations in Australia and New Zealand with gift-card, loyalty and customer-engagement technology. Its general platform supports physical and digital stored value, while the Mihi's Place announcement confirms a particular merchant relationship. [\[S1\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/mihis-place-tranxactor-gift-card-programme/#article-source-1) [\[S2\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/mihis-place-tranxactor-gift-card-programme/#article-source-2) The supplier argues that gifting can bring the clinic new customers and additional revenue. Those are prospective commercial benefits, not reported results. It has not disclosed transaction volumes, a contract value, merchant fees or the precise redemption rules for this deployment. [\[S1\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/mihis-place-tranxactor-gift-card-programme/#article-source-1) [\[S2\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/mihis-place-tranxactor-gift-card-programme/#article-source-2) For the gift-card industry, the change is another application of an established processing platform to a service merchant, where prepaid purchasing and later service delivery occur at different times. [\[S1\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/mihis-place-tranxactor-gift-card-programme/#article-source-1) [\[S2\]](https://giftcard.news/gift-cards/mihis-place-tranxactor-gift-card-programme/#article-source-2) The merchant’s store policy lists e-vouchers and gift vouchers among non-returnable items. Its appointment-cancellation provisions are separate service-booking conditions, so their notice periods are not treated as card expiry rules. The public product page does not supply an expiry or full partial-redemption schedule, and the corporate page offers tailored packages without public prices.
