The agreement gave NeoCurrency's loyalty and incentive clients another redemption category alongside conventional brand rewards. The intended role of the gift card was to connect those reward programmes to cryptocurrency redemption through Mybitcards.com. [Geoff Miller](https://giftcard.news/person/geoff-miller/), then president of NeoCurrency, described cryptocurrency as an additional option for its loyalty customers. Neither company published recipient uptake, transaction volumes or a measured change in programme engagement. [\[S02\]](#article-source-2) ## A new redemption category brings different questions For a programme sponsor, adding a cryptocurrency reward changes more than the logo in the catalog. The participant needs to understand what the card provides and what happens during redemption. A card's stated value, the cryptocurrency received and its value at a later date are different concepts; the announcement did not supply detailed conversion or fee terms. That puts the redemption journey at the centre of product evaluation. Support, eligible markets, account requirements and clear explanations would determine how usable the option was for a particular audience. The 2019 release presented distribution ambitions but did not resolve those buyer-level questions. The source also outlined a future token launch and retail expansion. Those plans were forward-looking statements.
