In an August 7 account of the event, Runa highlighted localization, regulatory considerations and recipient experience as themes in the cross-border discussion. The panel also included [Peter Friend](https://giftcard.news/person/peter-friend/) of Global Hotel Card by [Expedia](https://giftcard.news/company/expedia/), [Elish Meyers](https://giftcard.news/person/elish-meyers/) of [Card Compliant](https://giftcard.news/company/card-compliant/) and [Stoytcho Vlaykov](https://giftcard.news/person/stoytcho-vlaykov/) of [Cashwave](https://giftcard.news/company/cashwave/). Runa’s account says the discussion addressed adapting rewards to local markets and building the technology and compliance arrangements needed for international distribution. The company used the event recap to describe its own network, which it said offered more than 5,000 payout options and access to over 20 million recipients. Those figures represent Runa’s description of its network at the time of the August 2025 article. Security was another theme. Runa described its Assure suite as incorporating anomaly detection, IP allowlisting and encryption, and stated that its platform was PCI DSS compliant. These are the company’s reported capabilities, rather than a claim that gift card transactions cannot be compromised. Runa also emphasized mobile access and fewer steps between receiving and redeeming a reward.
