The April 26, 2023 update adds a basket-based redemption experience and new payout types, including subscriptions and donations. A recipient can use the balance with one brand or split it across several products. The choices described include gift cards and prepaid cards alongside the newly added options, allowing the recipient to decide how to use the value after it has been sent. Runa said the revised interface adapts to desktop and mobile screens. Digital assets remain accessible through the Payout Link, so recipients can return later to their remaining value rather than making every selection immediately. Businesses send the balance through an email-based flow. Runa described the basket as a foundation for future wallet functionality, distinguishing the redesigned redemption experience from features still to come. The company reported that 98.3% of its payouts were redeemed within 30 days and cited its own research in which 55% of respondents considered redemption flexibility important. It also said its network included 88% of the UK's top 50 retailers and 63% of the top 100 in the United States.
