For merchants, the proposed benefit is access to spending that begins at the earnings-distribution stage. The company identifies groceries, fuel and entertainment as examples of categories where workers could choose to receive value. For platforms, Runa emphasizes payment costs and administration; for workers, it emphasizes access to earnings and choice. The article cites its view of worker preferences but does not describe a newly signed gig-platform customer or a completed deployment with measured results. The proposal is therefore a distribution opportunity the provider is asking merchants to consider.
