Photo: Gemeinde Westerkappeln Westerkappeln plans to introduce a local gift voucher in digital and physical formats from November, according to a September 15 announcement by the German municipality. The program, named Westerkappeln Unser Gutschein, is being presented with business association [Das Kappelner Band](https://giftcard.news/organization/das-kappelner-band/). [\[S01\]](#article-source-1) The voucher is intended for redemption at participating businesses in Westerkappeln. The municipality says it aims to retain purchasing power locally and support retail and hospitality businesses. An October 5 breakfast meeting at Restaurant Kreta is scheduled to introduce the product to shopkeepers, retailers and hospitality operators. The invitation extends beyond the town center to businesses across the municipality. The meeting will also provide a forum for discussion of local commercial conditions. The announcement establishes a planned product and rollout period, rather than confirming that vouchers are already on sale. It does not name a technology provider or disclose denominations, fees, the number of participating businesses or an exact November availability date. Those details will determine the practical reach of the offer. At this stage, the municipality has identified the two formats and local redemption model, with merchant engagement preceding the intended consumer launch. ## In this article ### Organizations * [Das Kappelner Band](https://giftcard.news/organization/das-kappelner-band/) * [Gemeinde Westerkappeln](https://giftcard.news/organization/gemeinde-westerkappeln/) ### Sources and documents * [\[S01\] Original primary announcement](https://www.gemeinde-westerkappeln.de/Politik/Stellenausschreibungen.htm/Aktuelles/Neuer-Stadtgutschein-fuer-Westerkappeln-wird-vorgestellt.html?utm%5Fsource=giftcard.news&utm%5Fcampaign=giftcard.news) — Gemeinde Westerkappeln Share [ ](https://x.com/intent/post?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgiftcard.news%2Fgift-cards%2Fwesterkappeln-local-gift-voucher-november-2026-plan%2F%3Futm%5Fsource%3Dx%26utm%5Fmedium%3Dsocial&text=Westerkappeln+plans+digital+and+physical+local+gift+voucher+for+November&utm%5Fsource=giftcard.news&utm%5Fcampaign=giftcard.news "X") [ ](https://www.linkedin.com/sharing/share-offsite/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgiftcard.news%2Fgift-cards%2Fwesterkappeln-local-gift-voucher-november-2026-plan%2F%3Futm%5Fsource%3Dlinkedin%26utm%5Fmedium%3Dsocial&utm%5Fsource=giftcard.news&utm%5Fcampaign=giftcard.news "LinkedIn") [ ](https://wa.me/?text=Westerkappeln+plans+digital+and+physical+local+gift+voucher+for+November+https%3A%2F%2Fgiftcard.news%2Fgift-cards%2Fwesterkappeln-local-gift-voucher-november-2026-plan%2F%3Futm%5Fsource%3Dwhatsapp%26utm%5Fmedium%3Dsocial&utm%5Fsource=giftcard.news&utm%5Fcampaign=giftcard.news "WhatsApp") ![Portrait of Suzie Elis](https://giftcard.news/images/variants/v1/suzie-elis-editorial-portrait-w320.webp) About the author ## [Suzie Elis](https://giftcard.news/author/suzie-elis/) Journalist — Gift Cards & Digital Gifting Suzie Elis covers gift card products, digital gifting and distribution for Gift Card News.
