The deal adds building-access, package-management and smart-home capabilities. Livly originated inside [FLATS](https://giftcard.news/company/flats/), the property operator now within Collective Residential. The announcement concerns the technology platform; it does not disclose a purchase price. ## A closer connection between the building and the neighbourhood Collective Residential plans to use Bilt for its communities’ resident experience. Bilt says migration will preserve existing capabilities while connecting them with housing payments, concierge services and rewards. It describes the acquisition as part of a wider effort to bring housing, local commerce and loyalty together. For rewards operators, the commercial logic is straightforward: a service used regularly creates more opportunities to present a relevant benefit. Whether that produces additional spending or simply moves an existing interaction into another app remains a question for subsequent performance data. ## Incentives become part of the property relationship Bilt’s existing Alliance offering includes move-in gifts, renewal incentives, neighbourhood benefits and branded memberships. Its public product page describes a payment platform with rewards alongside leasing, service requests and amenity bookings. It also advertises connections with more than 50,000 merchants; that is a company-reported network figure, not a count of merchants added by this acquisition. That context matters because a housing incentive can serve a different purpose from a conventional retail promotion. A welcome gift helps mark a move. A renewal benefit is attached to a decision about staying. Comparing either with ordinary shopping cashback would require a clear account of the behaviour being rewarded and who funds the benefit. ## The delivery question The acquisition gives Bilt more of the operational technology surrounding those moments. The useful measure will be whether residents can actually complete everyday tasks and understand their rewards in the combined service.
