The business, InComm Payments Brazil Technology Ltda., will develop payment services for markets including retail, financial services and mobile payments. The company said the new teams would contribute to both Brazilian and international projects under the leadership of its US development organization. Recruitment is intended to span software engineering, quality assurance automation, database administration, database development and DevOps. The hub also plans to explore partnerships with educational institutions. InComm said those relationships could provide students with practical industry experience and routes into full-time employment, alongside opportunities for experienced technology professionals. The expansion builds on InComm’s presence in Brazil since 2012\. Its existing operations include a São Paulo business and [Todo Cartões](https://giftcard.news/company/todo-cartoes/), the closed-loop gift card processor based in Porto Alegre that InComm acquired in 2020. Chief information officer [Mark Holt](https://giftcard.news/person/mark-holt/) said the Fortaleza operation would complement US development teams, while Brazil country manager [Ricardo Olivieri](https://giftcard.news/person/ricardo-olivieri/) emphasized the importance of a local workforce to the country’s evolving payments market.
