The company tasked him with developing its market approach and expanding relationships with business customers. Thiegs had most recently served as senior vice-president of strategic partnerships at [TOTUS Gift Card Management](https://giftcard.news/company/totus-gift-card-management/). His earlier roles included chief revenue officer at [National Gift Card](https://giftcard.news/company/national-gift-card/) and head of partnerships at digital-currency payments company [Flexa](https://giftcard.news/company/flexa/). NeoCurrency highlighted his work on business gift card APIs and on a framework for coordinating the different participants in a merchant’s gift card programme. His experience spans market research, employee recognition, sales incentives and loyalty. Chief executive [Geoff Miller](https://giftcard.news/person/geoff-miller/) said the appointment came as NeoCurrency’s catalogue exceeded 1,800 brands across 85 countries and 40 currencies. Those figures describe the business at the time of the hire. Thiegs said he intended to promote the company’s ordering, reporting and API capabilities.
