The gift card provider said its development team had to migrate multiple systems and hundreds of customers while maintaining ongoing processing. Head of product [Tatiana Kolesnikova](https://giftcard.news/person/tatiana-kolesnikova/) presented the work at the Booster conference in Norway. Diggecard described uninterrupted service as a central requirement because the existing systems processed money around the clock and operational errors could affect customers and revenue. The team designed a complete replacement but introduced changes incrementally. That allowed individual components to move across in stages rather than require every system to change at once. Removing manual tasks and improving processes through new technology were also stated goals. Diggecard said a minimum viable version helped it meet tight deadlines. The new system became operational during 2020, while the business was also dealing with pandemic restrictions and increased turnover. The account presented the migration method as an approach Diggecard continued to use in client integration projects.
