The company said its issuing services covered credit, debit, prepaid, payroll, virtual and gift cards, alongside private-label and co-branded programmes. [\[S01\]](#article-source-1) ## One processing suite across several channels The announcement described support for ATM, point-of-sale, kiosk and ecommerce transactions. Financial institutions could use the processing suite as a service or license it for operation in-house or in the cloud. APIs, cardholder and service portals, notifications, and settlement reporting formed part of the product set. [\[S01\]](#article-source-1) Digital Cash Processing said it operated in 27 countries before entering the US. [Richard Beer](https://giftcard.news/person/richard-beer/), identified in the release as president and CEO, presented the launch as an extension of its experience serving banks and credit unions. The announcement named no new US customer and disclosed no transaction-volume target. [\[S01\]](#article-source-1) ## What it meant for a card programme The relevant distinction for a gift-card operator is between processing a transaction and issuing the underlying value. A processing platform supplies operational capabilities. Its availability does not establish the commercial terms, sponsor arrangements or acceptance rules of any individual programme. Likewise, a platform capable of supporting several types of card does not make those products interchangeable. A retailer gift card, a payroll card and a credit card can share elements of technical infrastructure while serving different purposes and following different programme rules. The historical announcement therefore documented a new US processing option and the scope of the supplier’s stated capabilities.
