The companies planned to move existing cards from Envisant's previous prepaid provider onto the platform. The announcement described a planned transition and did not provide a completed migration count or financial terms. This was its overall network, not the announced size of the card migration. [\[S01\]](#article-source-1) ## What Q2 Fabric brought to the project Q2 introduced Fabric on October 18, 2023 as an integrated stack combining its digital banking interface, the [Helix](https://giftcard.news/company/helix-by-q2/) cloud-based core and its Innovation Studio partner ecosystem. Its original proposition was to let banks and credit unions launch differentiated digital offerings alongside their existing core systems. From an editorial perspective, the important questions extend beyond adding another technology supplier: how balances and transaction histories are reconciled, how customer service handles the transition, and how new product rules are communicated. Those are useful criteria for assessing execution, not a claim that Envisant experienced a problem in any of those areas. The practical value of an integrated platform would need to be assessed against outcomes such as service continuity, operational workload and the pace at which usable features reach participating credit unions. The 2024 partnership announcement establishes the selected platform and intended scope. It should be read as that original decision, rather than evidence that every planned migration or later product expansion has since been completed.
