The disclosure appeared in a company update describing its rewards model and a wider set of tools for moving and controlling money. It is a platform-wide figure, with no reporting period or gift-card-only breakdown supplied. [\[S01\]](#article-source-1) ## What sits behind the number The company’s developer documentation describes payment activity across cards, wallets, incoming funds, payouts and bill payments. Its API covers five functions: pay-ins, wallets, spending, rewards and disbursements. Digital gift cards and prepaid cards sit within the rewards component. [\[S02\]](#article-source-2) That scope matters when reading the milestone. Payment volume is not revenue, and the amount moving through a platform cannot be used as a measure of gift card sales unless the relevant transactions are separated. The disclosure also provides no basis for calculating a growth rate or comparing an annual run rate with another provider. ## More controls around prepaid value In its September update, Fluz highlighted shared Spend Accounts, single-use and merchant-locked virtual cards, bulk card creation from a CSV file, and a money-movement API as additions from the preceding year. It described merchant marketing budgets as the source of its cashback rewards. A programme still needs a funding decision, permissions, delivery and reconciliation. Connecting those stages can reduce the number of separate systems a buyer must evaluate, but the operational benefit depends on how those connections work in practice. ## The limits of the milestone Fluz presents the figure as evidence of the scale of its payment activity. The update does not provide audited financial statements, a transaction count or a breakdown by product. [\[S01\]](#article-source-1) It therefore establishes a company-reported volume milestone, while leaving the economics and mix of that activity open. For gift card distributors and rewards platforms assessing the offer, the useful distinction is between the breadth of the infrastructure and the performance of a particular programme.
