# GIFQ adds audit logs to gift card and payout operations

GIFQ has added audit trails to its gift card payout platform, addressing how business clients investigate changes and payment disputes as well as how they send rewards.

[GIFQ](https://giftcard.news/company/gifq/) added audit logs to its gift card and payout platform on July 7, 2026, creating a record of operational changes across its administration, API and recipient flows. The update concerns accountability after an action takes place, rather than a new kind of gift card. [\[S01\]](#article-source-1)

For a business distributing rewards at scale, sending a card is only part of the job. Staff also need to establish whether an order was changed, which account made the change and how a disputed payout moved through the system. A record that can answer those questions is a procurement and service requirement as well as a technical feature.

## The business behind the payout interface

GIFQ markets a dashboard and API for distributing gift cards and other payouts. Its public site advertises no platform fee and describes pricing as dependent on the brands and volumes involved. Its contractual terms identify the operator as [GiftQuest OÜ](https://giftcard.news/company/giftquest-ou/) in Estonia and allow fees or margins specified in the applicable arrangements. The platform’s payout documentation describes a funded business account, orders sent to recipients and a redemption link. This separates the business placing and funding an order from the person choosing or receiving the reward. Those separate stages create different places for an operational error or dispute to arise. ## What the new records can establish

According to GIFQ, logging covers 24 core models and records the actor, request context and changes to fields. Sensitive credentials and gift card secrets are excluded from the stored log payload. Events such as code display can be recorded without copying the actual code into the audit trail. Customer self-service export was still described as planned; staff could retrieve records for investigations. [\[S01\]](#article-source-1)

That last distinction matters to buyers. A provider-held trail may help resolve a support case, but it is not the same workflow as a customer independently downloading records into its own monitoring system. Procurement teams should assess the access they can use today.

The commercial logic is to make the platform easier to operate when volumes or internal controls become more demanding. If a support team can reconstruct an event from structured records, it may spend less time assembling evidence across emails and account histories. No measured reduction in support costs or dispute times was supplied.

## Evidence, access and responsibility

An audit trail also supports conversations between the business customer and its payout provider about responsibility for an action. It does not, by itself, prove that an underlying action was authorised or that a gift card was redeemed at a merchant.

The announcement is a product description, not an independent security assessment. Its significance is a more inspectable operating process. Whether that translates into faster investigations or larger enterprise contracts depends on the accuracy, availability and practical use of the records.
