Its announcement described a network of more than 5,000 brands across over 100 countries and the ability to choose a brand in advance or leave selection to the recipient. [\[S01\]](#article-source-1) The launch places GIFQ between the organisation deciding that someone should receive value and the suppliers fulfilling the chosen reward. That is a distribution and operations role, rather than an attempt to decide who has earned an incentive. ## Selling the payout layer GIFQ is operated by Estonia’s [GiftQuest OÜ](https://giftcard.news/company/giftquest-ou/). Its current product description assigns eligibility and reward value to the business customer, while GIFQ manages delivery, verification and redemption. Product availability depends on country, currency, denomination and programme settings. The headline catalogue is not a promise of universal availability. The API suits repeated payouts from an existing product; the dashboard and CSV route also allow occasional campaigns without a bespoke software connection. [\[S01\]](#article-source-1) The tradeoff is concentration. One supplier can simplify administration, but a business becomes dependent on that supplier’s catalogue, availability and delivery process. A large brand count is therefore less useful than knowing the intended recipients can redeem appropriate products with the balances they actually receive. ## The price of a reward is separate from its value GIFQ’s pricing page advertises no monthly platform charge, while distinguishing that from reward costs. Purchase rates depend on product, market and volume; some bulk cards carry a discount and others a premium. Setup work, funding and currency conversion can have separately agreed terms. The recipient retains the card’s full face value. [\[S03\]](#article-source-3) That structure makes the reward mix commercially important. An inexpensive software interface does not establish the cost of a programme that predominantly uses premium-priced products. Conversely, a discounted purchase rate can affect the sender’s cost without changing what the recipient spends. For GIFQ, the launch opens a route to recurring transaction volume from rewards programmes, rather than relying solely on one-off card purchases. The public pricing explains how buyers are charged but does not disclose the company’s supplier margin or unit profitability. ## What is required after the launch The developer documentation calls for sandbox access followed by coordinated production setup, production credentials and IP whitelisting. The service therefore requires an implementation process even where its public presentation stresses ease of use. [\[S04\]](#article-source-4) Delivery also needs to be distinguished from redemption: an email sent is not a reward successfully used. Claims in the launch material about better survey response or less administration are not supported there by identified outcome studies.
