Official announcement artwork. Photo: KuCoin [KuCoin Pay](https://giftcard.news/company/kucoin/) announced its [PLAYX](https://giftcard.news/company/playx/) partnership on September 21, 2026, adding crypto-funded checkout for digital gift cards and top-ups. The release says it supports more than 50 cryptocurrencies and stablecoins, including USDT, USDC, Bitcoin, Ethereum and KCS, and advertises a 0.5% checkout discount without a usage limit when that payment route is selected.[ \[1\]](https://giftcard.news/payments-technology/kucoin-pay-playx-digital-gift-card-crypto-checkout/#article-source-1) ## A payment route into a region-specific catalogue PLAYX sells products with different regions, currencies and values. On October 19, its Nintendo eShop US page displayed the four face values and listed prices below, alongside a KuCoin Pay option marked 0.5% off. Nintendo’s own card guide separately names the same denominations. This is a dated product example of the catalogue connected to the payment service, not a September pricing history or proof of incremental purchases.[ \[3\]](https://giftcard.news/payments-technology/kucoin-pay-playx-digital-gift-card-crypto-checkout/#article-source-3)[ \[4\]](https://giftcard.news/payments-technology/kucoin-pay-playx-digital-gift-card-crypto-checkout/#article-source-4) The data behind the story ### Nintendo eShop US values and listed PLAYX prices The marketplace distinguishes redeemable card value from its listed selling price. Nintendo’s guide separately confirms the four denominations. Card face valueDisplayed product price USD Tap or hover for details. Select a series above to show or hide it. Sources PLAYX Nintendo eShop US product, observed October19,2026; Nintendo official eShop card guide Snapshot on October 19, 2026, not launch-day prices or verified completed orders. Product prices are those shown on the value options, before any additional payment-method adjustment. The advertised 0.5% KuCoin Pay incentive is separate; no discount stacking or realized saving is calculated. Product is for US Nintendo accounts. Its published conditions say the balance is applied to one account, is non-transferable after redemption and does not expire. A payment integration does not remove the underlying card’s regional and redemption restrictions.[ \[3\]](https://giftcard.news/payments-technology/kucoin-pay-playx-digital-gift-card-crypto-checkout/#article-source-3) KuCoin’s announcement names PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam, Google Play, Amazon, Netflix and Spotify among PLAYX’s products. Those references describe the marketplace catalogue; they do not establish new direct contracts between each brand and KuCoin. Buyers select the product, region and denomination at PLAYX, while KuCoin Pay supplies the funding route.[ \[1\]](https://giftcard.news/payments-technology/kucoin-pay-playx-digital-gift-card-crypto-checkout/#article-source-1)[ \[2\]](https://giftcard.news/payments-technology/kucoin-pay-playx-digital-gift-card-crypto-checkout/#article-source-2) The release describes delivery of codes to user accounts following payment authorization. PLAYX’s own terms also describe electronic delivery after confirmed payment, while reserving the right to delay orders for verification and describing the service as available without an uninterrupted-service guarantee. These are provider terms and claims; no delivery-speed measurement was published.[ \[1\]](https://giftcard.news/payments-technology/kucoin-pay-playx-digital-gift-card-crypto-checkout/#article-source-1)[ \[5\]](https://giftcard.news/payments-technology/kucoin-pay-playx-digital-gift-card-crypto-checkout/#article-source-5) The partnership release gives no revenue-sharing terms, settlement details, adoption target, gift-card sales baseline or volume forecast. Its statements about cross-border convenience and security describe the provider’s proposition. They do not establish universal product availability or demonstrate that crypto-funded checkout produced additional gift-card purchases.[ \[1\]](https://giftcard.news/payments-technology/kucoin-pay-playx-digital-gift-card-crypto-checkout/#article-source-1) ## In this article ### Companies * [KuCoin](https://giftcard.news/company/kucoin/) * [PLAYX](https://giftcard.news/company/playx/) ### Sources and documents * [September 21 partnership and checkout announcement](https://www.kucoin.com/announcement/KuCoinPay-PLAYX-Partnership-Announcement?utm%5Fsource=giftcard.news&utm%5Fcampaign=giftcard.news) — KuCoin * [Digital gift-card marketplace identity](https://playx.zone/?utm%5Fsource=giftcard.news&utm%5Fcampaign=giftcard.news) — PLAYX * [Nintendo eShop US face values, prices and terms, observed October 19, 2026](https://playx.zone/products/1137?utm%5Fsource=giftcard.news&utm%5Fcampaign=giftcard.news) — PLAYX * [Official Nintendo eShop card denomination guide](https://play.nintendo.com/parents/tools-for-parents/how-shop-digital/?utm%5Fsource=giftcard.news&utm%5Fcampaign=giftcard.news) — Nintendo * [PLAYX marketplace terms, labelled January 2025](https://playx.zone/terms?utm%5Fsource=giftcard.news&utm%5Fcampaign=giftcard.news) — PLAYX Share [ ](https://x.com/intent/post?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgiftcard.news%2Fpayments-technology%2Fkucoin-pay-playx-digital-gift-card-crypto-checkout%2F%3Futm%5Fsource%3Dx%26utm%5Fmedium%3Dsocial&text=KuCoin+Pay+adds+crypto+checkout+for+PLAYX+digital+gift+cards&utm%5Fsource=giftcard.news&utm%5Fcampaign=giftcard.news "X") [ ](https://www.linkedin.com/sharing/share-offsite/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgiftcard.news%2Fpayments-technology%2Fkucoin-pay-playx-digital-gift-card-crypto-checkout%2F%3Futm%5Fsource%3Dlinkedin%26utm%5Fmedium%3Dsocial&utm%5Fsource=giftcard.news&utm%5Fcampaign=giftcard.news "LinkedIn") [ ](https://wa.me/?text=KuCoin+Pay+adds+crypto+checkout+for+PLAYX+digital+gift+cards+https%3A%2F%2Fgiftcard.news%2Fpayments-technology%2Fkucoin-pay-playx-digital-gift-card-crypto-checkout%2F%3Futm%5Fsource%3Dwhatsapp%26utm%5Fmedium%3Dsocial&utm%5Fsource=giftcard.news&utm%5Fcampaign=giftcard.news "WhatsApp") ![Portrait of Suzie Elis](https://giftcard.news/images/variants/v1/suzie-elis-editorial-portrait-w320.webp) About the author ## [Suzie Elis](https://giftcard.news/author/suzie-elis/) Journalist — Gift Cards & Digital Gifting Suzie Elis covers gift card products, digital gifting and distribution for Gift Card News.
