The launch announcement describes virtual and physical cards, real-time funding, multiple currencies and automated approvals. Businesses can manage cards through dashboards or APIs. Digital onboarding includes customer and business verification, while finance teams receive transaction reporting. Any cashback offer is conditional on eligibility and a limited-period campaign being available. HyperSpend’s product website explains the controls in more practical terms: a business can allocate cards to employees, departments, branches or individual purchases, then apply transaction, daily or monthly limits. It also describes restrictions by merchant category and country, plus controls for online purchases and ATM use. Those controls sit alongside the expense records. According to HyperPay, employees can upload receipts and expense details while finance staff view spending by employee, card, team, merchant and category. The advertised onboarding sequence starts with business registration and verification, followed by wallet funding, team setup and card issuance. The relationship predates this launch. In September 2025, Mastercard announced a commercial-card collaboration with HyperPay covering Saudi Arabia and planned expansion to the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. That earlier agreement established the regional ambition; the September 2026 announcement supplies the named platform and its Saudi business use case. For a finance team evaluating the service, the useful distinction is between the card and the policy around it: funding a card provides purchasing capacity, while limits and approval rules govern how employees use it.
