Initial participants included [2C2P](https://giftcard.news/company/2c2p/), [AXS](https://giftcard.news/company/axs/), [CardUp](https://giftcard.news/company/cardup/), [Curacel](https://giftcard.news/company/curacel/) and [FitBank](https://giftcard.news/company/fitbank/) across Asia Pacific, Africa and Latin America. The service included tokenized card storage for recurring payments and tools intended to keep credentials current when a card expired. Mastercard also described automatic invoices for fixed bills and QR-linked payment options for amounts that changed each month. Among the first applications, 2C2P planned recurring Mastercard payments in Thailand's easyBills+ app. The wider easyBills platform offered utilities, mobile top-ups, tax payments and gift cards. Singapore-based AXS was also adding automated recurring payments to its mobile application. Mastercard positioned Bill Qkr as a way to improve collection processes and reduce unnecessary payment declines. Participating companies could access product-development and implementation support.
