The company said the agreement doubled its payment network to 10,000 locations, adding more stores where residential customers can settle a bill while shopping. Customers present a personalized barcode and cash at an authorized checkout. Reliant said payments are processed immediately and credited to the customer’s account within 30 minutes, with the option to pay on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. The barcode is available through the Reliant app, the customer’s online account or a text-message request. It removes the need to provide an account number at the register or use a separate customer-service queue. More than 5,000 locations in InComm’s VanillaDirect network support the addition, including grocery stores, discount retailers and pharmacies. The announcement positioned those locations as an extension of Reliant’s existing payment options. Reliant president [Elizabeth Killinger](https://giftcard.news/person/elizabeth-killinger/) said the service was intended to accommodate customers who prefer to pay bills with cash.
