The service brought an interest-bearing checking account together with payroll access, a [Visa](https://giftcard.news/company/visa/) debit card, bill payments and money transfers. Employees could arrange direct deposit into the account and use the linked debit card where Visa debit was accepted. Rellevate also described ATM access, an electronic bill-payment service with an expedited payment option, and person-to-person transfers within the United States and internationally. The company said it was working with Visa and a fintech bank for banking, processing and other services. The bank was not named in the announcement. The release therefore identified the network relationship and service categories without providing a complete set of issuing or processing partner details. Chairman and chief executive [Stewart Stockdale](https://giftcard.news/person/stewart-stockdale/) presented the platform as an alternative for consumers who struggled to access money promptly or relied on costly financial services. His earlier roles included leadership positions at [J.G. Wentworth](https://giftcard.news/company/j-g-wentworth/), [Western Union](https://giftcard.news/company/western-union/) and [Mastercard](https://giftcard.news/company/mastercard/). Chief information officer [Greg Schneider](https://giftcard.news/person/greg-schneider/) had previously worked at J.G. Wentworth, Western Union and [JPMorgan Chase](https://giftcard.news/company/jpmorgan-chase/). The announcement also cited his work on a Visa gift card program at [Simon Property Group](https://giftcard.news/company/simon-property-group/). That experience formed part of the team's background rather than the scope of a new gift card offering in this launch. Rellevate said companies could make the platform available to their employees. It did not publish a launch customer count, transaction volume or a detailed fee schedule in the September 2019 announcement.
