The April 28, 2023 guide discusses both Amazon's incentives offering and Runa's own payout API as routes for organizations distributing rewards. The use cases go beyond a consumer buying a gift for another person. The article describes companies awarding an Amazon gift card when a customer redeems loyalty points, completes a feedback survey or reaches another qualifying event. For employees, examples include performance milestones and service recognition. An API connects the application's reward workflow to gift card fulfillment. That allows the business to coordinate delivery with the point at which a recipient qualifies, rather than managing each card through a separate manual process.
