The guidance focused on keeping recognition within the software that people teams already used to manage their workforce. Examples included welcoming new employees, promotions and service anniversaries, as well as personal events such as becoming a parent or moving home. Runa argued that recording those events in an HR platform could help teams schedule relevant recognition without repeatedly switching to a separate rewards service. The provider described a rewards API as the integration route. Embedded ordering and delivery could let HR users select an appropriate digital gift card and automate actions associated with recorded dates or milestones. The proposed benefit was operational convenience rather than a new standalone HR product. Runa also discussed a potential revenue model for software providers. Where a platform obtained retailer rewards at a negotiated discount and sold them to clients at face value, the difference could create revenue. The article did not publish a standard discount or guaranteed margin. The company linked the approach with greater use of the HR platform and a more consistent employee experience.
