# Stacca Pay partners with BHN on stored-value processing

Stacca Pay gains a route into BHN's distribution infrastructure, while BHN retains its customer relationships and adds technology for combining balances.

[Stacca Pay](https://giftcard.news/company/litt-global/) and [Blackhawk Network](https://giftcard.news/company/blackhawk-network/) announced a processing partnership on August 20, 2026\. LITT Global's engine will connect to BHN infrastructure beneath its consumer services, while BHN retains its brands, distribution and supplier relationships. [\[S01\]](#article-source-1)

The deal connects a specialist technology supplier to an established route to market. The important commercial distinction is who owns the customer relationship: BHN keeps it, while LITT seeks scale through the infrastructure behind it. That makes this a distribution and integration agreement, rather than a new consumer card launch.

## What each company brings

BHN traces its gift card business to grocery-store distribution in 2001 and has since expanded into digital rewards and corporate payouts. Its company profile reports more than 400,000 consumer touchpoints worldwide. That describes BHN's overall reach, not the number of locations receiving Stacca Pay under this agreement. LITT Global supplies digital-wallet, gift card and loyalty technology. Its enterprise offering includes a client-branded mobile app or software interfaces for incorporating payments and promotional functions into an existing app. Its business is consequently able to sit behind another company's brand, rather than requiring that company's customers to adopt LITT's own consumer identity. Stacca Pay describes its core function as combining gift cards and wallet balances in a single transaction. That is the proposed processing capability. It does not establish that every balance type, retailer or consumer wallet will be supported by the BHN implementation. [\[S02\]](#article-source-2)

## Distribution for LITT, retained relationships for BHN

LITT Global founder and director [Brent Thompson](https://giftcard.news/person/brent-thompson/) described access to scale the company could not reproduce alone. The release also names its Gift Wallet and Smart Vouchers products and refers to an unnamed licensed issuing partner. [\[S01\]](#article-source-1)

For LITT, the economic opportunity is supplying technology through an organisation that already has relationships with gift card brands and buyers. Winning access to that channel could reduce the need to recruit every programme individually. The release does not reveal whether LITT will be paid per transaction, through a licence or under another arrangement.

For BHN, the potential benefit is another processing capability without handing its distribution relationships to a competing consumer brand. Its commercial position still depends on the services it offers brands and programme operators. Adding a specialist engine could make that offer more useful, but the agreement alone does not demonstrate additional sales or lower operating costs. [\[S03\]](#article-source-3)

## Combining balances changes the operational burden

A single payment funded from several balances can spare a customer from managing separate tender steps. Behind the interface, however, the system must decide which balance pays first, reserve the correct amounts and restore value if a payment fails or is refunded. Those are consequences of the proposed model, not documented features of a completed BHN rollout. [\[S02\]](#article-source-2)

LITT's broader enterprise offer includes branded wallets and promotional tools, which helps explain why it sells infrastructure that a partner can adapt. The buyer can retain its own customer experience, but must still decide how support, transaction records and exceptions fit its existing operation. The apparent simplicity for the shopper shifts work into the participating systems. [\[S04\]](#article-source-4)

No merchant deployment, go-live timetable, volumes or pricing are disclosed. Network access creates a sales opportunity; programme adoption establishes actual business. BHN's overall footprint should not be counted as contracted Stacca Pay usage. [\[S01\]](#article-source-1)
