The service lets US consumers connect Link and authorize purchases through the agent. At businesses accepting Link, Muse uses the customer’s saved payment method. For other businesses, Link supplies a single-use virtual card restricted to the approved purchase. Stripe says the consumer approves the transaction total in chat and Muse does not receive the underlying payment details. The integration builds on the agent wallet Stripe introduced on April 29\. That earlier product announcement describes two ways to provide purchasing authority: a one-time card or a Shared Payment Token. Both can be backed by payment methods already held in Link, keeping the agent separate from the customer’s raw credentials. Stripe’s April explanation also sets out the sequence for developers. A customer first grants wallet access through an authorization flow. The agent submits a spending request with transaction context, and the customer reviews it before Link releases the credential. Amount, currency and merchant controls can constrain how that credential is used. Link’s current consumer page describes notifications, approval requests and a purchase history for tracking agent activity. It lists Muse among the supported agent experiences and identifies the service as currently available in the United States. More granular permissions for spending without fresh approval are presented as forthcoming, alongside additional payment methods and saved buying preferences. For merchants and prepaid providers, the distinction is useful: the announced virtual card authorizes a purchase using the consumer’s connected payment funding. Neither the Muse announcement nor the agent-wallet documentation establishes automatic redemption of a retailer gift-card balance the customer already owns.
