[WebCartisan](https://giftcard.news/company/webcartisan/) published its GiftRocket gift-card plugin for SureCart in the WordPress directory on October 9\. The directory’s official API dates the addition to that day and lists version 1.0.0\. The extension adds a separate stored-value ledger to SureCart checkout. Customers can spend part of a card, retain unused value and cover a larger order’s remaining cost by credit card or PayPal. Merchants can inspect issuance, redemption, manual adjustments and refunds in its transaction history. ## Initial distribution is visible; merchant adoption remains unmeasured

WordPress’s original statistics API records 180 downloads across the ten returned dates from October 9 to 18\. The directory separately displays fewer than ten active installations. Those are different observations: the download series cannot be converted into a count of operating gift-card programmes or the number of merchants successfully using the extension.
