The companies announced the US partnership on May 19, 2026, extending Zip’s payment options to gift cards from participating consumer brands. Customers can browse available cards, choose a denomination and select an installment option at checkout within the app. The assortment spans retailers, restaurants, entertainment businesses and travel providers, according to the announcement. Zip reported 4.6 million active US customers and 29,000 merchant partners in the financial results cited alongside the launch. Its chief marketing and customer officer, [Jinal Shah](https://giftcard.news/person/jinal-shah/), said customers wanted greater flexibility in managing spending and that InComm’s distribution relationships would broaden the brands available to them. The companies placed the launch against rising use of buy now, pay later services. Their announcement cited Federal Reserve survey data showing that 15% of consumers used such products during the previous 12 months in 2024, compared with 14% in 2023 and 10% in 2021. InComm said the integration was intended to simplify gift card shopping both for gifts and for shoppers buying cards for their own use.
