Its October 5 preliminary update put the total at 249% of the previous year and above an initial ¥25 billion target. [\[S01\]](#article-source-1) Fourth-quarter volume reached approximately ¥11.6 billion, up 19% from the preceding quarter. The company said the business had grown for 26 consecutive quarters. Those figures cover its fintech operations, which include Digital Gift, shareholder rewards and Digital Wallet; they are not a measure of gift-card sales alone. [\[S01\]](#article-source-1) ## Growing volume, with margin still to follow Quarterly growth fell short of the company’s expectation of at least 20%. Digital Plus cited a seasonal concentration of shareholder-reward activity in the third quarter and usage of a Hokkaido benefit programme that came in below its initial assumptions. Its product information identifies gift-card categories spanning apps, games and restaurants, alongside cash, payment services and other points. The platform therefore connects incentive issuers with multiple redemption destinations. The mixture of those channels matters when interpreting growth: a larger total does not establish how much value went into merchant gift cards, how quickly recipients redeemed it or what the operator earned. The missing margin figure also leaves the commercial quality of the increase unresolved.
