That was an increase of more than 12 percentage points from the prior survey, according to an announcement dated February 2, 2021 on MAP's February 21 archive page. The research surveyed 214 US credit union executives and department directors in December 2020\. Their functions included operations, card management, risk, lending, finance and IT. The findings therefore describe institutional respondents' views during that period, rather than a survey of credit union members. Respondents also rated their own card programs. MAP reported that 56.54% were very happy with their debit programs and 57.01% with their credit programs. Chief Executive [Cyndie Martini](https://giftcard.news/person/cyndie-martini/) linked the processor's growing importance with the role of debit, credit, mobile and digital payments in a credit union's business. The survey asked how institutions had handled the pandemic. While 79.81% said they had been prepared, 55.87% reported needing many adjustments and 23.94% said few or no adjustments had been necessary. Almost half of respondents, 48.13%, described the pandemic as very disruptive to daily operations. Only 6.54% said it had caused no disruption. Looking ahead from December 2020, 73.36% said their institutions were ready if the pandemic continued for another six to twelve months. MAP produces the report annually to assess executive views of payment programs and their providers.
