The findings were released on December 2, 2025, as the company examined changes in holiday spending. Cryptocurrency also featured in gift preferences. Twenty-eight percent said they would welcome it as a gift, rising to 45% among Gen Z respondents. For agent-assisted commerce, comparing prices was the application that generated the strongest interest. Enthusiasm came with reservations. Sixty percent wanted clearer information about how AI shopping tools used personal data, and 61% still preferred human customer service. Two-thirds worried that friends or family could fall victim to an online scam during the season. The weighted online survey had a three-percentage-point margin of error.
