It also noted the work involved in maintaining a redemption catalog, explaining point values, managing expiry rules and supporting participants. The guide identified clarity, timing and redemption as the main areas of comparison. A stated prepaid reward made its face value visible immediately, while points could create a sense of progress over time. ADR favoured the simpler prepaid model for transactional campaigns but acknowledged a role for points when sustained participation was the objective. An unnamed B2B technology company featured in ADR's account of switching from points to prepaid milestones. The described rewards were $15 for onboarding, $25 for a monthly learning goal and $50 for top performance. ADR reported higher participation, fewer support questions and more positive feedback, but did not provide numerical results or identify the business. For bulk gift card buyers, the article linked reward choice to administration as well as participant appeal.
