Its September 8 guidance also details 2026 promotional offers for selected [Visa](https://giftcard.news/company/visa/) reward cards and new BrandedChoice rewards programs. The company describes year-end as a period when annual targets, holiday cover and preparations for the following year compete for employees’ attention. It argues that recognition should happen while achievements are still recent, with a separate year-end occasion available to acknowledge the team’s cumulative work. ## Planning reward delivery across the workforce For HR and operations teams, Gift Card Partners recommends deciding who will receive rewards, establishing consistent award levels, obtaining approvals and collecting recipient information ahead of the busiest shipping period. Organizations can then choose physical cards, digital delivery or a combination suited to their workforce. The company says a centralized process can help include remote employees, different shifts and staff away from headquarters. It also recommends making the message specific to the person’s contribution, whether that involves supporting a customer, helping colleagues, improving a process or handling an unexpected responsibility. Recognition is presented as part of workforce management. The guidance explicitly connects appreciation with attention to staffing, schedules, priorities and employees’ opportunity to take time away from work. It says rewards cannot resolve persistent understaffing or unreasonable demands. ## Earlier research informs the retention argument Gift Card Partners draws on Gallup research to explain its focus on retention. Gallup reported that 51% of US employees were looking for another job or monitoring opportunities in May 2024\. In its report originally published in July 2024, Gallup also found that 42% of employees who had voluntarily left an organization believed their employer or manager could have acted to keep them. A separate Gallup and [Workhuman](https://giftcard.news/company/workhuman/) study followed employees from 2022 to 2024\. It found that employees receiving strong recognition were 45% less likely to have moved to another organization over that period. Gallup’s September 2024 account of that research also reported that 22% of employees felt the amount of recognition they received was appropriate. For the wider engagement context, the company cites Gallup’s January 2025 report on the preceding year. US engagement stood at 31% in 2024; 39% of employees strongly agreed that somebody at work cared about them personally, and 30% strongly agreed that somebody encouraged their development. These are the historical findings used in the company’s 2026 planning guidance. ## Gift card formats and dated promotional offers Gift Card Partners describes several reward formats: merchant-specific gift cards, Visa reward cards and virtual accounts, and BrandedChoice programs that let recipients select from a curated range of gift card brands. It says the BrandedChoice redemption experience can carry an organization’s branding and campaign message. The company advertises free shipping for direct-delivery orders of its Gingerbread and Mistletoe physical Visa reward cards from September 1 through November 30, 2026, through the Engage2Reward ordering platform. According to Gift Card Partners, Engage2Reward supports physical and digital reward administration, bulk recipient uploads, personalized messages, budgets, approvals, delivery tracking and reporting.
