Residents would be able to earn points for actions such as signing or renewing a lease and paying rent, then redeem them for gift cards. [\[S01\]](#article-source-1) ## Rewards inside the resident journey RealPage said it would fund the gift-card rewards described in the proposition. The planned platform would also bring together lease applications, identity verification and signing, a moving checklist and marketplace, and payment and rent-reporting tools. [\[S01\]](#article-source-1) To accelerate the work, RealPage had acquired moving-software company [Keyready](https://giftcard.news/company/keyready/). Several customers were testing beta versions of the moving and loyalty tools. Further details about general availability were planned for its August 2024 customer event. [\[S01\]](#article-source-1) ## Development plans are different from a general launch The April release was an announcement of development, an acquisition and beta activity. It should not be read as proof that the full package was already generally available. The company’s claims about reducing concession costs and improving retention described intended benefits rather than independently measured results for the new platform. [\[S01\]](#article-source-1) The gift-card connection is the use of a familiar reward to encourage specific actions throughout a longer customer relationship. For a property operator, the relevant questions would include who earns a reward, when it becomes available and how it is funded. For residents, the clarity of those rules matters as much as the range of retailers in the catalog. The release disclosed no transaction value, redemption rate or customer-retention result for the new loyalty tools.
