Using Get to Know Your Customers Day as a planning occasion, it discussed rewards for feedback and purchasing milestones alongside recognition for customer-facing staff. Its customer-facing examples included gifts selected around interests or purchasing milestones, access to additional services and rewards for taking part in feedback exercises. One proposal was to offer a selection of gift cards so a customer could choose a preferred brand. For employees, TruCentive suggested recognising service achievements, responses to customer feedback and completion of relevant training. It described individual awards and team rewards as different ways to acknowledge customer-facing work. The guidance also recommended giving frontline staff enough authority to offer small gestures of appreciation when appropriate. TruCentive linked that approach to its broader argument that employee engagement and customer experience programmes should support one another. Measurement was part of the proposed process. The company named repeat purchasing, customer lifetime value and employee engagement scores as indicators that organisers could follow over time, alongside differences between new customers, long-standing clients and at-risk accounts. These were programme examples and recommendations rather than results from a newly launched campaign.
