Pluxee Maroc says it has obtained ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for the information-security management system supporting its service-voucher business, extending from product design through production, sales and distribution.

The Moroccan employee-benefits operator announced the certification on September 10. It says the assessed system covers the development of associated technology as well as the handling of its vouchers, placing security controls across the operating process rather than solely at the point of payment. [S01]

That scope is relevant to a business distributing both paper gift vouchers and digital gift value. Pluxee Maroc, the Moroccan subsidiary of the international Pluxee group, offers employers paper meal and gift vouchers alongside its Mobile Pay products. [S02]

Gift value depends on the records behind it

With Mobile Pay Cadeau, employers can fund employee wallets remotely and define permitted places of use, according to Pluxee's product documentation. Employees can follow transactions in an app and spend gift value in precise amounts. Those functions depend on maintaining accurate funding, permission and transaction records throughout the benefit's life. [S03]

The certification announcement says Pluxee Maroc has strengthened internal processes for access management, protection of information systems and continuing staff awareness of cybersecurity. It presents the change as a way to protect information belonging to corporate clients, beneficiaries and merchant partners.

For a gift-benefit buyer, the commercial relevance is the connection between the promised security framework and the service being purchased. An employer sends value and information into a distribution chain; the employee and accepting merchant subsequently depend on that chain's records. A scope covering design, development, production and distribution addresses several stages of that relationship.

This is a security-management milestone for existing voucher services. The September announcement does not introduce a new gift product, additional acceptance locations or revised redemption terms.

What the announcement establishes

ISO describes ISO/IEC 27001 as a standard setting requirements for establishing, maintaining and continually improving an information-security management system. Its focus is the organisation's approach to managing information risk across people, policies and technology. [S04]

Pluxee Maroc says an accredited organisation conducted the certification audit, but its public announcement does not identify the certification body, reproduce a certificate number or give a separate award date. The reported scope therefore remains the company's account of its certification, rather than an independently inspected certificate.

The statement also provides no figures for fraud losses, security incidents or commercial contracts won as a result. The tangible disclosure is the reported certification and the operations it covers. It does not establish that every voucher transaction is free of risk or quantify an improvement in customer outcomes.
