A Tallahassee postal employee has pleaded guilty to two federal counts of mail theft in a case involving gift cards taken from outgoing correspondence. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Florida announced Napeaches Shouetta Blair's plea on September 16. [S01]
Prosecutors said Blair, 43, intercepted two gift-card envelopes in December 2025 and used the cards at a Tallahassee store and a Quincy gas station. Investigators later recovered numerous gift cards from her vehicle and identified several people who had sent them. [S01]
A separate July 2026 incident involved $1,000 taken from a letter. The announcement does not give a total value or number of stolen gift cards. [S01]
The new development is the guilty plea. Blair faces a statutory maximum of five years in prison per count; the release reports no sentence. The United States Postal Service Office of Inspector General and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement jointly investigated the case. [S01]
