Bitrefill has described its Naivas Supermarket gift card as a route to retail shopping in Kenya for cryptocurrency users. The November 2023 guide says the card could be used online and at more than 80 stores nationwide at that time.

The card amount is selected in Kenyan shillings, with the cryptocurrency amount shown in the purchase quote. Bitrefill notes that cryptocurrency price movements can affect the final quoted amount during payment.

Once the order is processed, the gift card code is displayed with the invoice and sent by email. The guide describes in-store redemption through the customer service desk and online redemption by entering the code during checkout.

The Naivas product gives access to the retailer's range, including groceries and electronics. Bitrefill handles the digital card purchase and delivery, while Naivas provides the retail redemption destination.

The guide also mentions using an existing Bitrefill balance as an alternative funding route. Its central offering is a locally denominated gift card that connects Bitrefill's payment choices with the Kenyan supermarket's own sales channels.
