Espresa has outlined ways employers can recognise their HR teams through wellbeing, professional development and practical workplace support. Its September 12, 2025 guide was published ahead of HR Professional Appreciation Day on September 26.

The company describes HR responsibilities ranging from recruitment and training to employee wellbeing and compliance. Its suggestions focus on supporting the people administering those functions, as well as acknowledging their contribution.

Wellbeing ideas include self-care gifts, health coaching, wellness memberships and opportunities to recharge. Espresa discusses lifestyle spending accounts as one way to provide flexible support across different eligible expenses.

The guide also recommends shared volunteering and team activities, with remote participation considered from the start. Examples include local community projects, virtual volunteering, digital experiences and in-person outings chosen around team preferences.

Professional development forms another part of the guidance. Espresa lists conference participation, webinars, certifications, tuition support and shorter learning subscriptions as options that can be aligned with an individual’s career goals.

The final area is administrative support. The company argues that consolidating benefits tasks in a unified platform can reduce the number of separate systems HR staff need to manage, allowing more attention to planning and employee support.
